I had read this (http://china.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=757434) the other day and was sceptical, but secretly crossing my fingers.
but today I've just read this (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1030775/Sunderland-priced-10m-Spain-substitute-Guiza.html) and im a bit gutted actually. I wouldve loved Sunderland to snatch a great striker from teams who were keeping their eyes on him like Barcelona, Roma and Arsenal. we can all dream, eh? :P
and yep, I love hyperlinks.

I heard he was top scorer in La Liga last season, so can't really see why he would want to go to Sunderland.

offer him a decent wage package and they will have half a chance
sunderland could probably offer double what majorca can if not more.

tbh im quite happy we didn't sign him.
he's not a top class player and he's not getting any younger.
we need young good players.

Yeah but Majorca are a better team?
He's got more chance of Europe etc?

And we're supposed to be after Darrent Bent so i'd much rather have him.

No offense mate, but I can see Bent happening more than Guiza.

To get a team like Mallorca to finish 7th in La Liga is some achievement. He was tap goalscorer ahead of people like Messi, Henry, Van Nistelrooy, Kanoute, Keita etc. Doing that whilst playing for Mallorca makes it even better.

I'd rather have Bent, he has proved he is a good pl player. Spurs havnt really given him a chance.

well, even realistic minded Sunderland supporters will agree but I thought I'd post it as it's an intresting story. :P but yeah like said before, it'd be the money that would've draw him.

top class player? he was Spain's 3rd choice striker, netting a couple in the Euro and being the top scorer in La Liga. besides, we aren't a club for building for 3 seasons ahead, we need decent talent now as we might not be in the Premier League next season.

Oh right :P
I would think so tbh, who would you rather represent Spain or Serbia? :P
But then again he'd probably be Serbia's star player.

He'll be good enough for Spain, definately in a few years.

I agree - I think he has the potential of being just as good, if not better than Torres :P

He's decided to play for Spain as he now has Spanish citizenship. He could play for Croatia but he got called-up to the Spanish team.

Would of been a good signing for Sunderland however they've made a bid for Darren Bent so hopefully they'll sign him. Sunderland being my second team I hope it happens :)
