do you ever just hold back?
in thoughts of things changing or being weird?
or do you just go for it?
and take what happens?

It depends what you have to loose! In most cases friendship is the thing that could be affected. You should try figure out how the other person feels. But at the end of the day you are better of being honest. Keeping it inside will wind you up.
I never make the first move.. or any move infact.. I'm too scared to :( lol
I know its sad to not tell someone you like them through fear but yeh I get nervous :P

I'd make the first move if I felt that the boy couldn't or was to shy or something.
I don't think it should be all down to the boy, and I think alot of girls make it be which isn't really fair. If I felt I couldn't decide or that he dosn't like me back I'd wait for him to make the first move, but If I more then defient knew he liked me I'd make the first move.

Girls should tell us - confidence is a real turn on for guys, and besides, we like to hear it too.
Usually, I'll say something first... but then again, I've been in a *REMOVED* relationship so I'm kinda out of it.

Hah, if I said something first, it's pretty much guaranteed that they'd either punch me, run away screaming, or drop dead. How depressing.

I agree with you tbh..
If I didn't know if they liked me back i wouldn't
but if Its obvious they like me then I would say.

i basically always make the first move. usually i just come right out and say i like them, but try to act normal to see how they respond. but as someone said before, it's stupid how a lot of girls leave it to the guy to approach them. i've found out about plenty of girls who used to like me but didn't tell me at the time they did. its really frustrating. but luckily, the girlfriend i have now made the first move, and i didn't know her at all before that, and we've been dating for a pretty decent time.

Coicodence? We were talking about this in PSE today lol.
Personally, I think that the whole idea about the boy making the first move is stupid, we like to hear those words as much as the girls do, yet... most of the time the boy is the one who is given the responsibility.
We also talked about if the responsibility of contraception is generally left to the boys, we came to a conclusion it did.

I normally just go in for the kill, im a pretty confident guy in them respects. I just basically go out with them, just us 2, and tell them to their face. I think it's much better than like any other silly methods.
I do find though however more boys have told me they like me, than girls. But i think it's like just tradition for the boy to ask, like he's "meant" to for engagement and things. I think it's pretty stupid really, just be open (H)

I don't really say anything as I'm scared of rejection. If a guy I liked told me that he liked me I'd tell him then, but I'd never make the first move.

If i'm looking for a relationship it depends who, if it's a friend I'll wait till something happens.
If it's just for sex I'll tell them right away.

Im quite harsh and normally said no if a girls friend asked me out for the girl.

I'd would of made sure they reasonably liked me then I would of just been extremely confident about it and told them and been extremely open about it. Being open about it normally takes away an teasing about it since they end up looking foolish.

I guess it depends on you as a person, as well as the strength of the relationship between you and the person you like.
Personally, I flirt and hint to girls in order to work out whether the feeling is mutual. That way, if she just doesn't flirt back, you're not so harshly put down. If she does flirt back, your feelings take over.
