Sorry, i'm kinda new to linux, and have a question. I'm putting it on a windows 98 PC. with an iso image provided from the downloads area. It's quite a small file, is this the whole linux? And also, to startup linux, do i just insert the disk and turn on the machine? thank you kev

Yes that should be the whole of ubuntu.
If your not real good with computers, i don't think you should use ubuntu as it can get complicated at times..
This should run with a windows 98 Computer. And to start it up, insert the disk and start up the machine. If that doesnt work, when turning on the computer, hold F12 and then the computer should boot from disk.

When i download the file for desktops, It only takes a second, and comes up with a file size of 1.05 MB (1,108,972 bytes) which is too small? Is this an error?

If you own a genuine licence of XP. i think you can download it as a torrent, although i'd love a spare unlmited copy of xp or vista :D

Sorry for thread hijack but it seems a few people will be watching this thread and may be able to help. I had XP first but bought Vista, anyway to downgrade back to XP as I have driver problems for this "Dazzle" and I've downloaded drivers off their website but it still doesn't work. :(

Hence why I need XP back.

Since when did you need a genuine version of Windows to download a torrent?

Microsoft asks that you only use their CDs.
