For once I've got a idea for HabboxForum and not a complaint. I saw the recent poll on Habbox.com asking whether they should be another Summer Spectacular but I've recently had this idea where users could share their talents and enthusiasm for topics with the rest of the forum.
The idea is you get specialists from most of the forum sections, people who are talented at things, perhaps you could get someone from the Technology section who is always helping and knowledgable at things like Computer Building, someone from Web Hosts who knows a lot about PHP, someone from World of Warcraft who knows a lot about the site. You could easily get about 20 different specialist subjects I reckon from all over the forum, I'm not sure how you could pick the specialist people, there's numerous ways. People could probably nominate themselves for it and Forum Moderator's of that section could pick them as they'd know the mature and helpful members. Something like that to pick them anyway and the management could decide the categories and sections for the topics.
They then write a guide or introduction to their specialist subject, for example Bob from the photography section could write a guide about getting into photography and some examples of how to get good shots. Bob could write a guide from the Technology section about how to get into Computer Building and the advantages of it, Bob from Anime could write about things to do on the site and a bit of background information. This would be for people that are aliens to the subject, giving them something to read for a good 5-10 minutes, then experiement with perhaps and maybe even get interested, you could potenially learn a lot.
I've asked a few people and they like the idea and I'd really enjoy reading about specialist subjects and trying a few things, people usually get bored a bit during the Summer so it'd be something to do and learn. A guide could be released every few days through-out the Summer and then be stickied in that section, maybe a few staff members could write about their jobs too, what Forum Moderator's do, what the Articles staff do, what it's like to head the radio.
It's probably not as exciting for some as the Summer Spectacular but then again, it's just an idea.
Discuss.
