PS3 - Trophies are here!

After running the new update you get the trophy system and are able to access the home screen whilst in games by pressing the PS button.

Haven't played about with trophies yet :$

Apparently there was a 2.4 release but then it got taken off, then 2.41 was today with a new platinum trophy. Thats what some site said

2.41 was released today, it was released because the 2.40 version didn't work with some 60GB PS3 consoles.

They can't, they didn't name it "achievements" for a start, they're set out the same but are different e.g. the platinum throphy you get from every game which only unlock when you have every other trophy in that game
They're an object used in HOME in some cases

They're exactly the same but they are not breaching any copyright laws so nothing can be done xD

im not trying to say anything but he has a point. You can get xbox for copying the wii along with ps3. As ive said a billion times before on the forum, its called competition. You copy to get ahead and it ends up being better for the consumer. Who cares if its a copy of xbox achievements. Its not like its any harm done, youll still have your xbox and people will still have a ps3. fgs just get over saying which is better and that theyre copying each other!!

btw, that wasnt directed at you jord, just everyone who goes in any console related thing and says get a 360 or ps3

Wouldn't that be wrong, as Microsoft made the Dreamcast which was before the playstation, or was it not?

Most controllers are set out like that. I had a Sega controller when I was younger, it was blue and had four botton on the right and four on the top. It wasn't an official piece of Sega merchandise however it was still set out like that.

At the end of the day, Microsoft made the whole achievements system and everyone under the moon probably knows that. Sony have come out with some cheap wannabe update for their console, their will be flaws with theirs because they didn't make it first hand.
