A SCHOOLBOY fatally stabbed in a park may have been targeted because he was wearing the “wrong” uniform, it emerged today.
David Idowu, 14, died yesterday almost three weeks after he was knifed in the chest and stomach after being confronted by a gang of youths.

The boy was due to deliver a speech at the world’s biggest speaking event for young people in which he was to urge others to give up knives.

Southwark, South London.. :(

Hunt down these people and shoot 'em. If they're going to act like that then they have no use for a life. Or let them starve to death in a prison which has no carpets or proper floors, and damp walls. That'll teach them and they certainly deserve it.

Lmao no.
Rival schools have this occur sometimes when two schools have a massive fight against each other.
Used to happen in my school until the police got involved. =P

The boy that killed him was from Catford, probably uniform war, meaning school's dont like eachother.
My school had it with a school from Peckham..
Didn't like the school, since there is alot of postcode war's anyways!!

Yeah what is this country coming too...

Different schools = different uniforms.
SAS = Different uniform than say... the Navy.
Same thing, just representing different things... if you get me.

So are alot of places, London isnt the problem the youth's in London are.
It is very rough, but why? Its not funded correctly and no one gives a **** about what happen's down there.

There's no justifiable reason for teenagers running around stabbing people for the sake of it. Who gives a **** if they had bad upbringings, if they were abused, if they didn't get the best education. Millions starve, have no education, their parents die of incurable diseases but you don't see them going around stabbing people. Sorry but the majority of Londoners were born scum.

Living in a rough area I believe there is no excuse, your right but when you are provocked or feel you have to fit in. There is alot of gangs, postcode wars and school war's. Alot of people be in a gang when there 15-16 to fit in - mainly boy's. London had diffrent ways of other cities. Its completly diffrent, and isnt as funded in some area's.

To say there all "scum" is odd, because alot of them arn't.

I mean the majority are scum, from what I've heard. You don't have to give in to peer pressure though, stabbing people doesn't make you tough - it makes you cowardly. I don't understand why people defend it, even if they live there because surely they can come to the realisation that it's a city of barely any class.

They think they're the bloods and the crips but they're just kids in gym clothes with their mum's knife.

Until you live there you won't know what it's like.
Majority of the city is not scum, and there is plenty of upper class places in London. Though to make people get a "first impression" of London they always point out the bad place's.
They carry knives because they can, because alot of people carry them and to defend yourselves it feel's you have too. An because it gives you almighty power - if anyone annoys you hey just stab them!
It has got out of control, postcode war's espically.

I wouldn't call of them scum though, some are just trying to survive.

How can you defend London with a statement like that?

I am not defending, I'm saying when one person starts carrying a knife it becomes a trend. It becomes a safety sheild, it could have happened anywhere really. London's first, how long till its your city?

I am not defending my area. Not all of London is rough, but yes most of it is. Dosn't mean there scum, most of the youth don't get the help there needed.
