As in this thread: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=499824 and many others, members are getting annoyed that their posts have to be approved. I think one way may be to lower the count to about 5. Another thing that may already be in action is the user being told that they have x amount of posts needed to be approved before they are allowed to post freely or a message when signing up. It just makes the forum nicer to new comers because it means that they know whats happened to their post. I rememebr being on a forum and this sort of thing was in place. It annoyed me i didnt know what was happening and even worse, it took about 3 days to be approved!!

I feel sorry for the non-trollers who have to get their posts approved must be so annoying.:(

I think 5 would be good too. I don't see why all new people should suffer because of 1 or 2 people who sign up to troll.

I agree with you I think it should be 5-10 posts. :)

Maybe, to get them approved faster, there should be something appear at the top of the page for mods when posts need approving.

It's still not working for me

I think it must be working fine, and if new members are receiving a pm telling them how things work, then surely a little bit of understanding and patience isn't that much to ask. The thread quoted above is a complaint by a member who only joined today and has made 59 posts, of which 34 are not in the spam forums ;) I imagine they were fairly desparate to get posting here :P

There is a little image that looks like this: http://www.habboxforum.com/images/misc/moderated.gif at the bottom of posts that need to be approved.

Although it seems annoying it is only for a short while and since the system has come in it has been really effective in preventing people signing up to post inappropriate images and spam bots etc. Speaking for myself personally I go and check all posts that need to be moderated at least once a day and do it so people shouldn't have to wait long as I'm sure other mods do this as well.

I can't see why this rule should be modified. It reduces poor quallity posts, advertising posts, and since these users are new to the forum, they're more likely going to post in the wrong section or violate a rule as opposed to a user with 1,000 posts. In my eyes this policy should have been implemented years ago.

This will stand as it is. The welcome PM clearly explains the deal here. I think this system is proving to be very effective against trollers.

It states it in the welcome PM. If they dont read it, thats their own fault. It should stay at 15.

Im just wondering if you post 15 times in the spam your post count will not increase, how will mods know you've posted 15 times when it doesnt show?!

Very, very good question... which forum was it in? There seem to be a couple of technical issues with it atm. If you come across any, report them in the bug tracker and they'll be looked at :)

Sorry, must've scanned over that one. I'm assuming the system will know you've made the posts, moderators don't really need to know, they just approve posts as they see them. Unfortunately I'm not a forum techie so I don't know exactly how it works.

Ah i thought it was by hand how Mods move the users.

Still, its not counted though is it? TEST IT PLS.

The Professor

Nope, moving the users into the non-approval usergroup (for want of a better word) is done automatically. Making moderators do it would be so cumbersome :P I have no idea if its counted, Jin is probably the person to ask about that :P
