I would like to use this thread to help people, so vote for the best bank account for youths aged 12-18.

- Natwest Adapt
- Abbey Current Account
- Llloyds TSB Under 19's Account
- Barclay Plus

*There is obviously more, but I have chosen the main banks

I've had a Solo account since I was 13, and highly recommend Nat West, I too was offered the student account, but am going with a normal current account.

I've had barclays, it's amazing literally.
The service is top notch too,
the interest on your savings aint bad either :)!

I've been with NatWest since I was 13, they haven't let me down. I've got a Student Account at the moment.

I have two accoutns under the same card, I just only use one to withdraw, the other I keep to build up interest on a 7.5% rate. ;)

The barclays bank account is best, DO NOT EVER bank with Lloyds TSB they are the worst bank ever (I have banked with both.)

I got when I turned 18 aload of hassle at lloyds tsb and at Barclays their premier account.

If anyone needs any advice feel free to PM, I have a Banking degree and would be happy to advice*

Natwest for sure, I use to be with HSBC, they were infact awful imo.

Natwest is definitely the best for young people. Although Halifax have good saving options.
