Well i have formulated an idea for a website that i am unsure whether i should develop onto the web. Your views?

RateYourHate
The idea is very simple, basically each visitor to the website can vote on a number of public figures ranging from B list celebs to political figures on which person they hate the most.

After a while of voting a top 100 could be set up, to find out who the worlds public hates the most in the spotlight. This could also be used to show movements around the table of people moving up and down.

Any other ideas relating to this are also welcome.

the only problem i can see is that their will have to be something else to the site so they re-visit. Obviously they can only vote once or its unfair. Maybe do something that is vote anything. Possibly hate and like? Websites, games, books, anything really. Possibly a user system?

good idea though

There are loads of sites out there like this already, not many (if any) actually produce enough money to keep them running.

NEW-START

How are you going to make money from this? If I came across "RateYourHate.com" I'd just get off of the site as it would be another one of these annoying websites that do nothing at all but flood you with popups. Another annoying chain website.

Just like "RateYourDate". A completely pointless website.

Agreed NEW-START, although this idea hasnt been done much... there is a reason for it! If you want to give it ago then do by all means, but I think you will find it hard to keep it running as these sites have a novelty factor for about 2 minutes before a user clicks off.
