iPod touch version 2.0 officially released

According to Engadget Apple have offically released it, however I cant find it on the iTunes store yet. If anyone can find it please post it :)

Apple's iPod touch App store UK page is now linking to iTunes store.. yet just a landing page, so it must be coming soon!! :D:D

Yeah http://www.apple.com/uk/ipodtouch/whatsnew.html has a link to buy now, which is supposed to open the page where you buy the update, however it says 'The iTunes store is currently unavailable'

I checked for an update and it said theirs the update to download. but itunes store is unavailable :(

Apple has said that there iTunes activation servers have gone down, I guess this is why everyone gets an error message when trying to download iPod firmware 2.0.

Download that, the newer version of 2.0 is a developer version with loads of debug code in that slows it down.

Once its downloaded, hold shift then press restore and select the downloaded firmware file. It may take a while but its worth it. The apps are a rip though!! Band is like £5 :/

The torrent page says do a restore to 1.1.4 firmware but I didn't and it worked fine.

Cool new features with this one. Also, a screen capture feature is built in with the 2.0 firmware. Just hold down the Menu button and press the Sleep button and your screenshot will appear in the Photos app. =) Neat stuff.

Not really. They will have annoyed customers but they wouldn't really "loose them" Its a common mistake to learn from, don't release hardware and software on the same day.
