Oh wassup

So I just booked my tickets for Hancock and WALL-E and was just wondering, has there eve been a good 'movie game'? I'm sure that it's maybe because you just really get an interactive experince of the movie but it doesn't really change it.

The only game that I can think of which actually goes into a world of its own is Peter Jackson's King Kong : The Official Videogame of the Movie (long title lol), it mixed surivial horror with FPS and did it really well, it was made by the guys who did Beyond Good and Evil and Rayman, so it turned out really well.

But I can't think of any other good video game movie... I'm sure there are others, but that's the only I can think of.

Goldeneye, and yes it was one of the James Bond movies.
I always liked some of the Spiderman games.

Golden Eye = one of those few exceptions to bad movie games but then again the movie it self was god like so it was a let down compared

I think the 2nd one was better, you got a bit more freedom and the story missions weren't as complex.

I know it's cheating slightly (0=]) as the movies were made afterwards, but the Tomb Raider series - they were great.

I didn't like the second one, it was too easy as if it was made for a 7 year old, the 3rd one was a challenge unlike most games now

Up until Angel of Darkness I thought they were bloomin' fantastic. I'm sure that maybe Underworld can give the series another reboost, but it just got a bit too boring for me...

ok I admit it, I didn't like that they moved all the meat from one of Lara's parts to another :eusa_sile

@Neil

I know that the 3rd was challenging etc. but I enjoyed the fun side of 2, just going up to the highest building and then jumping off, it kinda looked realistic and after that I could just web swing and maybe tackle someone who's falling down.

Harry Potter and Spiderman games are good I think. And I've always liked the James Bond games too, apart from most of the PS2/Xbox ones are not bases on movies, apart from From Russia With Love.

I thought the graphics in Prisoner of Azkaban were really advanced for the current generation, loved flying on Hedwig (that's its name right.. please tell me I'm right)

Yea some people just get into games fast, I found the game easy but it had it's moments when it got pretty tough, I still can't be the last lizard man mission xD

The black suited spider-man didn't change much, only like 3% better, and the graphics appeared darker and the city felt like it had changed.

Spider Man 2 is pretty good... the civilian graphics sucked though.
Star Wars Battlefront was great for a movie based game.

To be honest, quite a few movie games are good, the only bad one are usually for the ones based on U movies/made by Disney... like Ratatouille. Who in their right mind would buy that crap?

I have to say most of the Star Wars games are pretty good, and I really enjoyed the LOTR games apart from the fellowship of the ring.

Yeah, POE is probably my favorite out of the games. Is my favorite out of the films and books actually. GOF was abit of a let down in my opinion, but they made up for it in OOTP. Oh, and it's Buckbeak who you fly...Hedwig is a owl.

GoldenEye 007 is the best movie game ever. One of the best games of all time actually.

King Kong and Spiderman were pretty good.
