New to WoW

Hi I've just ordered WoW from Play.com cos I couldn't think of any mmorpgs to play. I finally got bored of Silkroad

About to start the trial but what realm should I play? I read that you all use kilrogg on US servers?

What class should I go? and how hard is it to level cos Silkroad was just grind grind grind grind.

A lot of habboxforum users use Kilrogg EU.

I would just try each class out, see which one you like the most. Levelling is ok, just do quests for xp.

Almost everyone is on Kilrogg.

Killrogg and it won't take you very long to level to 70, maybe 2months if you play quite regularly.

What class is best for just PvE? Not fussed on PVP atm. Just wanna learn the game. Is Blood Elf good?

Thats a race not a class :)

Race - Ally - Night Elf, Gnome, Human, Dwarf, Draenei
Horde - Orc, Troll, Tauren, Blood Elf, Undead

The classes are the little pictures underneath each of the races as only some races can be hunters like Nelf, Dwarf n Draenei on ally etc.
Just see what you looks good :) We don't know what you like doing :P

All classes are good, it's the gear that makes the difference. ;) Healers and tanks are usually needed the most though. A druid can be a good healer and a tank (and dps but they suck, no crowd control (cc) :P).

Dps stands for damage per second.

As Matt said, dps stands for damage per second. So you basically try to do as much damage as possible while the tank takes all the blows. :)
Mages and Warlocks are really good for dps.

Oh ye, forgot about rogues. Hunters are only good if the person knows how to play, I've seen many hunters who don't. :P

In many scenarios hunters don't need to know how to play they just need to set there pet on and autoshoot, perhaps do some very skilled kiting. Ie. Frost trap and running about while there pet applies 50% runspeed. It really shows when theres full vengeful hunters that don't know how to trap properly in instances.

Ye, placing traps is usually where it goes wrong. :( Makes tanking harder. :( :P

Yep, lots of hunters who are terrible with CC... tried Heroic Ramparts, one of the easiest heroics, with 3 hunters and the CC was just horrible.

And hunters are meant to be pure DPS classes, if Hunters aren't coming close to the mages and rogues then there's something wrong.

Trapping is a joke. Plant the trap way 20secs or so before the pull occurs, leaving you with another trap to place as soon as the mob in question gets trapped. Thats 30~ secs of CC there baby.
DPS is easy too. 1:1 with KC and you're laughing.

I still don't get how some people don't know how to do that. :s I've seen people place the trap when the mob is at them and attacking them or people who trap the mob and leave it, often leading to death once the trap effect is gone.
Some people are even stupid enough to place the trap and run the other way so the mob doesn't go over the trap. >.< WoW should have a recommended IQ minimum tbh. :P

Forget system requirements, I think player requirements are needed!
