View Full Version : Guitar Hero 4 or Rock Band 2?

I'd say GH4, but it's also very, very early, and we haven't heard a word about RB2. Nevertheless, GH4 does look very promising. (create your own song? epic.)

Thoughts?

I find Rock Band very expensive for what it is. It's basically just Guitar Hero with a mic and drums.

I personally hate playing the drums on Rock Band, so I'll stick with Guitar Hero :D

Well, GH4 will include drums AND vocals as well. So either way, you'll be stuck with drums. :P

Rock Band 2.
I don't wanna go back to GH, I always had a small hatred towards it, it just annoys me.

Wrong.

Rock Band 2. Mainly because it's backwards compatible with DLC from RB and the fact that it's more fun.

If you don't know about GH4 yet, it looks to be the same as RB, if not better.

I don't see how RB could top it.

Those drums are going to be a ***** to play for most people..
The only reason I'd get it is for the ps2, as then my group of friends could all chip-in and can store it at the "party holder's" house.
Rather than carting and xbox and RB to everywhere.

They're the same as a normal electronic drum kit, one or two less pads though, the rock band one looks ok but it's just them trying to out do Guitar Hero now, eventually they'll probably end up looking like this but electronic form xD

Rock Band. Harmonix does a better job on the note charts.

Rock Band - it's cheaper in the long run. Instruments and DLC are backwards compatible...

If I buy GH4, I'd have to buy another Drum set and Mic...

Neither probably. I don't mind paying £60 or so for one of these, but once its pushed £100-£150 I'll just leave it.

GH4.

Mainly cos I like the GH series, and some of the time the songs are harder on GH than RB.
