Well, just to cut things short, I hate the ruby stars, I just think they look horrible. :(
I'd rather have gold than ruby. So i'm just wondering if they could get changed, maybe an idea? (For example to saphire(sp?), platinum or emerald?)

Tbh they're all mank , the only decent ones are the sparkling platinum ones but I would rather have the old ones back any day :(

Personally I like gold and platinum, but you don't see them with V.I.P so isn't such a big deal for me, but I can see why people dislike Ruby.

I don't mind them. If you're using firefox just use ad-block plus to get rid of them.

I don't mind them, it fits in well with the name system though, something else would just seem odd. I like the idea of an emerald group though, green ftw.

Being one of the "scheming management" I can tell you that we had no such intent, we merely sought to create a new userbar scheme and bring something INTERESTING to our users after years of the same userbars, and also to increase involvement in the forum, but hey it looks like we can't ever win, I think there must be a rule against it somewhere ;)


I think that the stars may as well stay, everyone likes some stars and doesn't like others, the starter doesn't like Ruby but likes Gold while MissAlice dislikes Gold preferring Silver. I don't think there's any way to hide userbars so we may as well deal with it ;) There is a way to hide it externally using FireFox as one person in this thread suggested though :)

I don't dislike the stars at all, in fact I really like them, and for me personally I wouldn't want to hide them, my suggestion was merely an idea for those that may want to, and it's only the bronze and gold that I'm not overkeen on, and that's purely because of there shade of colour nothing else :) Stars are great :)

As far as I am concerned keep the stars, you can't possibly please everyone, and I can live with gold, even if I do prefer silver! I'm sure others can live with it too :)
