You have to have firmware 2.0 which costs.

Apple has quietly released a 1.1.5 firmware upgrade for the iPod Touch. The 1.1.5 firmware remains a free upgrade path for firmware 1.1.4 users who chose not to upgrade to 2.0 ($9.95).

Demonoid has it up, but I would recommend getting 1.1.4 and jailbreaking it.

Actually I'd highly recommend 2.0

Stuck to a limited number of apps, half of which cost, which you could get most for free on Jailbreak installer? nty.

All you have to do is plug it in, load up ZiPhone and press "jailbreak" :S

the demonoid torrent ones etc are going to get screwed over due to the fact that it's registered to multiple accounts, apple will knowing them trace where all these are coming from and disable it most likely

Edit @ tom: jailbreaking has been around what nearly a year now, the iphone/ipod touch appstore hasnt been around a week yet and it's nearly caught up with the same ammount of apps.

Dave, it doesn't get registered, its just an ISPW firmware file, you just hold shift and press restore, find the file, and it installs to your iPod.

2.0 will be jailbroken in a matter of time.

Everyone wanting jailbreak is just impatience. Just wait for some big apps. 5 pounds/10 dollars is hardly a fortune for console quality games and productivity applications.

Patience (y)

And you are?

Yes, visually they may not be console quality, but gameplay wise they are, I would say SMB is far superior to most games on the Wii (And im a huge wii fan!).

I fail to see how SMB is far more superior to something such as Wii Fit or SSBB

Fair enough, they are the cream of the crop when it comes to wii games. Most are mid-card, mediocre, and judging by trailers of some iPhone and iPod games, they are pretty much on par with PSP. One trailer that comes to mind straight away is Rolando (google it!).

Trust me, 2.0 has been out for a few days and your expecting everything from it. :l

Well there the best games I seen for a mobile phone before. But anyway, Just either pay a few quid for a few applications, its not like your spending it on some high end machine is it? Just be patience jesus

Tom the ISPW file gets logged on your account when you download it etc, also when you buy it further more if you check the source when you decompile the ISPW on a mac you can see who has bought the ISPW in the purchased file, or as it's called in the US registered file. I will do it to my mums ISPW when we buy it for her when we are back from houston.

In Application files in the .plist inside the file there is usually an email address and account information... how come the firmware one doesn't?

(You can open application and firmware files in WinRAR)

Thats the compiled firmware, if you decompile you can see the structure of the firmware thats how they where able to create applications for jailbroken ipods/iphones as they knew the structure you cant see the structure of an application compiled.
