My brother has been having this problem and I really can't figure it out. To put this in simple terms, when he plays music on the broadcaster it can send the music through encoders etc but it doesn't play back to him through speakers, like he turned mute on and off.

We've tried editing in the configuration but it just simply will not work, only way it plays back if we select playback only then select the speakers option, then press microphone on, but this way we can't broadcast microphone sounds either.

If that makes any sense? If someone could help fix this problem I'll give +rep and 1 month VIP donated by my brother.

Cheers! :)

Problem ;

Usally, when im broadcasting, im using my headset, and it plays it back to me?
If youre using a headset, is the music coming back to him via the speakers in the headset, or nothing at all?

Also ive sceemed to have found this patch, posted all over the internet

http://www.softwarepatch.com/games/serious-sam-2.html, it fixes you're issue i think. including a couple of others from sam

i REALLY hope this helps

Already tried those, only way we cna play music back is if we select playback only then select speakers, then click microphone on.

He said he connects to the server, sends out everything he plays but he can't hear anything. He said he messed with his configurations so he can double DJ, so something there?

Yes, he could have gone into the main microphone controls, and changed the sound output to skype?. id say thats the problem

NSTRUCTIONS

1. Volume Control [Either Double Click It At The Bottom Right Of Your Screen Or Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment & Then Volume Control]

2. Click Options, Then Properties.

3. Tick Recording And Then Tick Stereo Mix.

4. Stereo Mix Makes You Do Double Show And Also Gives Echo In Skype Calls. When You Want Rid Of This, Click Back To Microphone.

thats how you double dj, so make sure thoose settings are off?

You're going to hate me, but we have vista :P

Also, it works on sam3 & sam4, just not with sam2 which is really confusing...

Are you using MYSQL to connect to the database. MYSQL dosent go well with vista for sam2. youre better off using firebird

Yes I have vista and use MySQL on sam2 - no problems. Are you sure the settings for those two balls on the encoder are set as what I said?

Also, go to config then Audio Mixer Pipeline and see if this is what you have it set as:

Try right clicking line in and DigitalIn and press disable (you can always enable it again later/when/if you need either). Then try.

"Serious Sam 2"

I was reading some of the bug fixes when I realised...

Well unless you've got the whole thing on mute then I have no ideas left.

The only thing I can suggest is removing it using the add/remove software tool, then deleting all files related to it, then deleted all records and files and stuff in your registry and well. Then if you redownload and install it, using firebird instead of MySQL because data will still be stored in the MySQL database, it may work again. If that doesnt work, then it is defintiely a problem with some audio part of the computer.

Edit: @ Kevin, I swear she said she's tried rebooting :S

You could try the thing I said ;)

Also, double DJing only works with Sam 3 anyway :P You gotta have the Aux channels.
