no idea what forum this will go in, but it's discussing anything so idk, sorry if its in wrong one! :) x

Me and a few friends want to go down to thorpe park for a day,
anyone have any suggestions how to get down there etc, or where to look for coaches or something? x

Btw i live in chester, near liverpool, so it's quite far away really. thats why its a pain getting there!

You can get the train to the nearest station and there will 100% be a bus that will take you from the station to Thorpe Park ;)

There's some info about which train station to go to to get the coaches.

Mitch, London waterloo should be pretty easy to get to from anywhere. Once you are at waterloo, look out for trains that head to Weybridge, Reading and Windsor. You should be at Staines station around 30-40 mins later depending what train you get on. Outside Staines station there is a bus stop and usually loads of taxis waiting, bus will be about £2 each, or the taxis about £8/10 a car.

btw i personally think thorpe park is better than alton towers anyway!

Oh, another thing. If you are travelling from Liverpool then you are more likely to end up at London Euston/ Victoria/ Waterloo. If you end up at the first two stations waterloo is only a few underground stations away.

there you go mitch
The return coach costs £28 if you do it like this;

day 1 - leave liverpool half 6 arrives at london half 2, you should get to TP about 2ish. you could stay in a travelodge in staines overnight.

day 2 - full day

day 3 - coach leaves london at 5 and arrives in liverpool at half 10

that's probably the best way to do it by coach.

The travelodge in Staines is £51 a night for a room that is for 3 people, so divided between you it shouldn't be too much for 2 nights.
