So basically just post your equipment , where you dj, and just anything else..

I recently started into Djing because of school a/v..
and thanks to farm work last summer i could buy some decent equipment.

I do sound for a wide arrage of concerts/eveings. Can range from stuff like fundays all the way to rock nights.

We mainly use AKG 1000's for mics, the micer usually is a soundcraft The blast that all out on 1x pair on peavy 2 x pairs mackie speakers (Forget the model) This gives us arround a 3kw rig.

I also do a bit of radio for whitchurch fm a small comunity station. There setup i am unsure of as it has all been changed i will try to find out

Never heard of Kool Sound, but yes, you made the right decision to go with CD/MP3 decks, Vinyls are far too expensive.

But at a minimum price of £3 per Vinyl it's pretty darn expensive!

No CDs are not the future. Having a laptop with all your music on is. Then you have a usb mixer to the side and an amp with a couple of speakers. Brilliant idea as you can find music super quickly like when you're doing a radio broadcast. Most of the big clubs use computer systems now.

Vinyls are better quality though.

one day. one day. Record companies will slowly stop producing them as sales decrease. DJs just starting aren't using them and when the older generation of djs are gone they'll have had their time.
