I myself play for a girls football team, and many people think that we should play the same amoutn as football as the men do.
Women get hardly any pay, and most of the footballers have to get jobs as well.
Male footballers (professional) get payed loads though?

Anyway, i play for a league winning U15's team.
And it is really great.
does anyone else play football for a team? boys as well :D

regards,
Lucy - looochella.

My friend plays for the Girls Under 18 Arsenal team...

Or something like that, but she has to travel from the Isle of Wight she's that dedicated, she's really good, could beat me and my friends any day :)

Women's football isn't as big the mens game as more men tend to watch football than women. Woman's football isn't very good as I've watched the F.A Women's Cup Final many a time.

I know some girls who are better than half the boys around here. I think some of them even play for Wales.

It's not the same as the men's game. It doesn't have the physical presence and just lacks something.

Without being sexist;

Women's football isn't as entertaining as men's football nor is it of the standard of men's football despite over-whelming feminists disagreeing thus men's football is in demand and people will pay a lot of money to watch a game of football whereas women's football is generally free to watch although donations are made. Women's football should be bigger, yes, but not to the point of men's football because it'd screw the economy up because no money would be going into the game because it's not as entertaining as men's.

Phew, I think my balls will still be intact after that post, I hope.

Yeah i've noticed that, dont worry.
but womens football is cool.
Theres not as much speed and fitness involved.
but just as much skill ;)

good point.
it should be made a lot more popular though. :)
not as big as mens.
and i understand the NOT-AS-ENTERTAINING part.
but i myself find it good to watch.

p.s your balls are still intact, yes :)

My friend played for Southampton and Portsmouth in her age group (She's 17...)

And she's in some Hampshire FA Centre of Excellence if that means anything?

She did training or something at Arsenal, but god knows what she's doing now :)

Aha, you need to play for Coventry then...

I've always found Women's Beach Volley Ball more entertaining than Men's, it's just one of those sports which unfortunately is very gender split.

I'd love to see girl's football get more popular. As much as it's not quite at the standard of men's football I still think that it's underated.

I think it's great that women play football aswell as men. Not JUST a man's sport really
Also I play for my local team, finished bottom of the league this season ;P

Theres always stuff to improve on, as long as you had fun.
Thats all that maters really, theres no pointr in doing anything if your not gonna have fun.

And i think that most sports should be available for women as wel as men.
Quite a lot are though.

My PE teacher was coach for Crewe ladies team, and women's football isn't entertaining after watching the FA cup finals, arsenal just seem to dominate it.

There are a lot of women's only sports that men cannot compete in also, don't forget.

Oh and Wootzeh - that's because Arsenal Ladies are the only full time team in Britain.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Leeds United, && Everton are also full time teams.
Arsenal just seems to be the best team.
When Everton have dominated Arsenal in a final a couple of years ago.

Arsenal also has a LOT of players, which is meaning that hardly any of them get games, and stuff..

Some Arsenal players have joined Leeds as Leeds seem to be getting a team going and have a couple of young players. Lots of Arsenal players play for England as well so being internationals helps them. Jayne Ludlow is from Treherbert.

Theres a pretty logical reason why women dont get paid as much, theres not as much money envolved for the business side of things, eg. not as many paying fans, etc. So theres not as much money to throw away.

Looochella

Yeah, ive noticed sanderson has moved to leeds.
and shes an international.
Most women teams bring up young players. (home-grown)
But also, i think the youngest England international is 16 years old.
Pretty young though..
