i actually couldn't believe that.
i love kele, and i cant see how he would EVER try and use something like a fight to gain publicity for bloc party.
plus he has the same shoes as me, and i ALMOST met him, he was behind the security barrier, but couldn't hear me shouting to him :'(
but anyway, that's just lowered my opinion of john lydon. i never really liked the sex pistols anyway, but i just despise him now.
thoughts+opinions?

Oh well, they both can't sing.
Meh its a wee bitty one sided in that article, i would say, and as usual its someone using the race card. I doubt it was an unprovoked attack.
I'm not sure who's side to be one.
I'm not sure if I beleive it was a racist attack though, when have you ever heard of a black person being prosecuted for being racist to a white person? I'm not saying that all black people, but you're never gonna get a race that has no racists at all.
The article wasn't clear on what started the fight aswell.

The article wasn't clear on what started the fight aswell.
"the Sex Pistols were hanging out backstage at Summercase with a bunch of other bands when Okereke decided to ask Lydon if Public Image Ltd., his influential post-Sex Pistols band, would ever reunite. Guess the answer is no. The statement continues, "The Sex Pistols singer became intimidating and aggressive while his entourage responded with a racist tirade including the statement, 'your problem is your black attitude.'"
i dont think the article is that one-sided, really, as they end it with quotes from lydon defending himself.

john lydon will always be a confrontational character, he's a punk fgs. as for the racist part, who knows, lydon grew up being a role model for a generation looking to be rebels, he could still have his racist opinions
oh and kele went to my secondary schooooool, init.

No. That is not the case at all. They generally cannot.

well they obviously can seeing as they've sold millions of records each.

In this day and age, especially in Britain, vocalists talk more than sing.
And it was The Sex Pistols image, gimmick and controversial lyrics that shot them to fame, his vocals were protest speeches.
