People from all over the country have been thinking and leading towards having a day to celebrate the war effort made by pilot's in the second world war. Like we have st Georges day, we would have a world war ll day. How can this be possible? Even though, yes, those pilots fought hard for us and risked their lives for our country, they also killed people in mass amounts in Germany!
Any light shed on this debate would be useful as im curious on other peoples opinions ( :
Thanks :)

It was World War II, you had to.
We killed tons of people when we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we still have celebrations for that..?
So why not this.. we killed people.. we had to win the war.. otherwise we would be ruled by the Nazi party.

Doesn't that defeat the point of democracy?

We're celebrating the fact that they fought for their country and remembering the soldiers that died making a future for us

Pacifists are boring and stupid. Of course we should celebrate the fact that we won a war a country of our size should not never have been able to win.

nope.
As they wanted to win by having a war.
Not by a vote.
