Alton towers, it has the best rollercoasters and is only 15 minutes away from me. I thought drayton manor was good as well, they're the only 2 from that list I've been to.

I disagree :P I live within a 45 minute drive of Thorpe Park and Legoland. Have been to Chessington many times, and find it a little tame. Thorpe Park is amazing, and Legoland really isn't for me. Alton Towers is no.1 for me I only wish I lived nearer to it.

In terms of guest numbers and amount of rollercoasters/attractions, Pleasure Beach, Blackpool would be the best as its the most visited park in the UK.

As much as I love it though I think the best is Drayton Manor cus it has a homely feel to it :D

Southend has a nice bigg-ish adventure park now, with rides which is looking q. up to scratch.. :)

Thorpe park has to be the best for me, like 45 minutes way and absouletly great day out.. I dont have to worry about staying like I do when I got Alton Towers.

Thorpe Park by far, Alton Towers is too tame.

By the way, this isn't really gonna get fair results lol.

Btw Blackpool is an amusement park, not a theme park. ;) The only reason Blackpool might have the most visitors is because of the free entrance price.

Theme Park/Amusement Park - there is no difference. Alton Towers is an Amusement Park! And the free entrance price doesn't exactly get you much. I mean how much fun can you have walking around a park and watching other people go on rides? :P The reason it has so many visitors is probably because Blackpool being a tourist destination in itself. Innit!

Drayton Manor is amazing.
Alton Towers is OK. The queues are way too long, but the rides are really good.
I really prefer Drayton Manor though.

Sorry for the massive bump - but the voting lines have closed and I can now reveal that HabboxForum's Best British Theme Park 2008 with an almighty 32 votes is...

ALTON TOWERS

Thorpe Park came in second with 14 votes meanwhislt Drayton Manor & LegoLand snapped up joint third with 5 votes each.
Chessington have been officially awarded the Wooden Spoon after only 2 votes meaning they come last :P.
So until next year - Alton Towers is the Best British Theme Park!

Thanks to everyone who voted :).

Yeah, greatest in Britain. Hence the title "Britains Best Theme Park". You might be big on amusement parks, but you sure arent big on reading :S!

We are very lucky here in Britain, we have more than one great theme park, hence the thread title: What is Britain's Best Theme Park 2008? For the majority of people, we all live close enough to travel to one of them within a few hours or less. I live 45 minutes or so from one of them, so could visit every day if I wanted to, how great is that :P and the furthest one is approximately 4 hours away, by road not by plane :P great too don't you think? I would hate to have to wait for one summer visit to Cedar Point, when I have so much more on offer here ;)
