Would you say your online personality is the same as your real personality?

Simple question really - do you act the same on the internet as you do in real life. Obviously there are some differences but I mean generally, the way you react and things like that.

I can say that I do, I'm sometimes stubborn and sometimes want to be right and I can't say I act differently. I stick to my opinions, respect but debate others' and I stick up for my friends.

So yeah, what about you?

I'm like a 100 times shyer in real life then I am over the internet but generally I'd say I'm the same sarcastic, irritating girl who can be helpful & nice person in real life that I am over the internet.

I'd like to think I'm genuine on the internet, perhaps when I was a little younger on the internet I used to be a lot more fake and talk a lot more ******** but these days I'm as real as possible. I'm more enthusiastic and a bit less shy on the internet though.

yeah i'd say so, but im alot shyer irl than i am on the internet. i cant 'open up' like i do on the net, i find it hard to adjust to new people if ya get me.

no, i'm really lazy on the forum, i am really neurotic in r/l. also, seeing as the forum has a filter, i can't freely express myself like i normally would if i was mad or excited. so no, my online personality is different from my r/l personality.

My online personality differs depending on where you meet me, I'm less talkative in real life though if anything, although my personality in an online environment where I won't be censored or reprimanded in any way mirrors me in real life when I'm with my friends.

not really, as i don't "know" know anyone on this forum, and the people I don't know, I ultimately don't give a toss about them, whereas in real life I'm face to face with people and although I may not know them I'll still make an attempt to talk to them even if I don't particularly like them.

Yeah, pretty much. I feel I like to give people help a lot, and I talk a lot and takes a lot of words for me to get my point across.
In real life I wouldn't normally just talk to strangers if they were in the middle of a convo though, I'm shyer than that!
