E3 2008 seemed a bit... boring this year... I think this comic pretty much sums it up.

So what was the best announcement/ game at E3 this year?

For me it was probably MAG (http://kotaku.com/5025532/ps3-massive-action-game-announced-promises-battles-up-to-256-players), 246 players sounds like a fragfest... but I know they'll pull it off. Doing statistics in Littlebigplanet (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36416.html) was fresh and great. Nice new addition: video service, althought I won't get my hands on it until next year (http://kotaku.com/5026131/sony-video-service-not-hitting-europe-australia-until-2009-at-least) -.-

I'm looking forward to God of War 3 on the PS3, I loved the first and second ones.

The only thing at E3 I cared about was Fable 2, nothing else really bothered me much xD

That MAG game sounds pretty decent but I find it hard to believe the final release will have 256 player online, especially on a console, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out but I'm not gonna put my money on the multiplayer being as big as they say

I was surprised they finished Fable 2 , I thought it'd be atleast another 2 months.

It's been in production for a good few years and it's not like most games with the massive work in the graphics department, they already had a good idea of how to do a large amount of the game all it needed was a nice polish of Fable 1 and a bigger/better world to explore, obviously they had to redo everything but it was easier as they had Fable as a template to work from

Gears of War 2 is what interested me most.
And GH4 i suppose, but I'd already seen the video they shown.

I would think the new Dashboard for the 360 was a good announcement. I'm looking forward to it :P

Haha I can't believe you're still doing the big weekly questions after such a long time, anyway I found E3 quite boring this year, the Quantum of Solace clips from Microsoft were pretty cool though.

I thought the nintendo one was rubbish with no hardcore games (not even previews) the 360 was half heartadly aiming for the wii's audiance and is still failing and the PS3 is still it'll be awesome next year all
But I did like MAG

What I don't get about Microsoft's conference and Nintendo's conferences is that they try to aim for the non-gamer or the really casual gamer, through a hardcore gaming event

Oh, almost forgot.

Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA <33

1 - There is no such thing as a hardcore game
2 - The Wiis audience are people who play games for FUN I'm sure you don't need a review on what that word means
3 - PS3s wasn't any better than Microsofts or Nintenos, they only announced one or two decent things during all three

Now stop being a fanboy or your brain will shrink

1 - Hardcore as in, actual gamers who play and stuff

2 - Fun, social, but as we know most of the gaming industry is meant to be... well gaming, supposed to drag you in and put you in someone elses shoes.

3 - Sony's conference was mild, we all got over-excited and it was just announcing things, not actual games. I can sum up each and every conference

Microsoft - Laying out it's fall update and bringing in more casual and social games, also Square Enix backstabbing us and giving the 360 some love.

Nintendo - More social games and Wii Motion Plus, lots of announcements about DS and online services aswell, some great first party titles announced

Sony - Just hyped us all up with game trailers and some live demos, video service announcement, still trying to keep PS2 in it and new PSP games.

Im sure you have done it before.

And there is such thing as Hardcore gamers, they are the ones that attended LANs play for about 7 hours a day and play Xbox to get good not for fun.

Little Big Planet looks very very good and Pixel Junk Eden :D Demo was very fun when i was playing with a friend

Best bits were LittleBigPlanet, MAG and the video download service for ps3...

LBP looks amazing, I seriously cant wait, I'd pay £100 for that game xD

Didnt really pay attention to the Microsoft one as I didnt have time, but from what I've seen of the new dashboard, it looks like utter crap, seriously. The old one is much better, the new one is very, very bland and boring. The avatars are a Mii rip off too.

Nintendo's conference was rubbish, the woman that presented it spoke as if her audience were 5 year olds, I mean ***?

Best conference imo was the sony one, but then again, I have a PS3 so I am obviously going to be most interested in it xD

Microsofts and Sonys were both good, but Nintendo's was a piss take.
