Some guy is creating a patch that will show msn + colours in adium!

At the moment hes released an alternate version of adium with the feature, its a beta adium version so also has msn personal messages.
It doesn't include some of the fixes of the most recent adium betas be warned.

I've just renamed it to adium2 and installed it beside my normal adium so I can use it whenever I want to.

Here's a screenshot:

I take no responsibility for any crashes or problems you have.
This is NOT my work, I found this myself.

All of your adium settings carry over into this version such as your contact list styles.

Looks pretty ace.
Where did you get that thing that shows your currently playing music in the bottom corner? Or is that standard with leopard? I still have Tiger :)

Could do with something like that on vista lolMSN Plus is for Windows users, Windows consisting of Vista. So clearly MSN+ Coloured Names would work in Vista when it's built for Windows. This software gives Mac users of MSN the chance to see the coloured names too and not just random BB Code tags.

Didn't make myself clear. When i said we could do with something like that for vista, i meant having the names & pms on the desktop.

I think that app is different, but the best app for that is CoverSutra. You can get it from Pirate on the Bay.

Quick music controling and stuff.

Marcus, you can, I cant remember the exact feature, but its on MSN+, you can display some contacts on desktop, I think you rightclick on the user and there might be an option.

The application I'm currently using is coverstream from
http://coverstream.net

It's leopard only. Sorry, won't work on 10.4

Does the same things as coversutra really. I just fancied a change :P

Im more of a cover sutra guy, more of a userbase so its easier to get support.

Im using this now, where did you hear about this mod?

Also, if your in contact with the guy/gal who made it,maybe see if they can add Emoticons in name support. Eg. My mate has his name as

[hisname](H) and would rather see the emoticon instead of (h)

I know, I realised that earlier.

I'm not in contact with him sadly. I'll try to refind the source.

EDIT: I've got a problem with that version of adium it disconnects as soon as I send a message to someone with a coloured name.

Hopefully just a plugin will be released soon and we can enjoy the coloured names.
