Install a firewall, to stop intrusions.

Heres a good free one, with exellent reviews, and eazy to install

It could just be a DDOS?

Nothing too extreme, Just slows down/crashes your comp.
Get a firewall :)

Do you even know what C:\System32 is?

Its the whole of the operating system, how can it be that?

It depends if your being hacked or not, could you tell me what you were doing before that message and any recently downloaded files (including there extention e.g file.exe, file.zip, file.rar, file.bat, file.dll)

Thanks

Do you use BullGuard as your antivirus/firewall?

If so, this is a common occurance with port scans and stuff. Their new version 8 is too high tech.

Yes, that could be a point

Ok, Next possible solution: Are you wired up (via Ethernet) to a router which has wireless enabled with no WEP Ecryption or have you connected wirelessly to the internet?

Are you serious? That sounds more like an advert script than anything else, no firewall would word anything like that. Get comodo firewall anyway as your version of Commonsense may be out of date (2008 B4 is the newest version).

Hmmm, It is a tough decision to say, but i think i will have to go with you are not being hacked, its somthing to do with the default profile or yes it may be an advertisment script

Thanks, Josh

The chances of somebody targeting a teenager is improbable. Hackers go after big organisations. Although, people also hack to get revenge.

Heart Break Kid
29-07-2008, 11:25 PM
they also hack to get accounts
email
myspace
habbo
runescape
WoW
etc

Hacking email accounts is one thing, hacking your operating system is another.

It's probably just a virus/spyware or something trying to scare you.

Heart Break Kid
29-07-2008, 11:35 PM
aye more dan likely :S
