it's stupid, there doing nothing on time like annoucning the comp winners etc, and the hotel alerts about evcitons most people dont even care about it!

It was always going to happen, HBB is a huge event that a lot of people are interested in. Far bigger and more watched than any other event at the moment. If they need to prioritise then HBB will be first on their list.
