View Full Version : [Vid] Create a SayDev Style logo

Source

Hey Guys,

I saw someone wanted a video tutorial on how to make the logo thing I did for SayDev last night, so I thought this morning I would make one during the few minutes I had spare.

Note my voice is pretty annoying, crackly and just generally bad so your gonna have to forgive the internet dude on that one.

Without further ado; http://www.screencast.com/users/killershard/folders/Jing/media/2a1e0a6a-49c0-45c6-832c-84e6815b1843

I mentioned scout which has loads of designer resources here: http://skout.co.za/

If you have any others you want me to make, ask but this really was just a one off.

Thanks
Matt (Source)

EDIT// Sorry if this is in the wrong place, it would get more views here and I didn't notice the tutorial forum. Silleh Meh!

I think he means center the text or the point of the bubble.

Haha, if you want you can use the composing tools at the top of photoshop:

http://www.tehupload.com/uploads/256320d886397e1centre.png

The red circles are around the things that I mean. Select the black arrow move tool, select your object and then you will see those buttons to centre, align left, right etc...

Guys comon, don't take over the thread. Lets let people actually be able to comment and ask about things rather than flame as per normal.

Where do you get the floral background in the signatures?

The actual logo doesn't look too good. But the finished design can be used for other things so good job.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm gonna do some PHP tut's for beginners on how to make a simple blog with functions then some stuff with classes.

Good work but can you get some variety in these signatures that people have because it's boring looking at the same one over and over in the same thread :P

Your forgetting the 'in'

Also, could you do more tuts, this was easy to follow unlike the 40 yr old american ones, where I can't understand it at all, and they suddenly go *Heres what I made earlier*

Ty :)

Depends on what you want me to make? How to make a wallpaper, some 3DS max 3d stuff? How to XHTML code? Howto create a blog?

Tell me what you want and I'll try my best to make it.

Might be quite complex, but how to make a simple , REALLY simple layout, then code it fully in expandables.

Like --ss--'s tut, but for a layout not just a box :)

I could spend hours talking about that, maybe like someone suggested in how to code in expandables.

Simple todo but something you seem to find hard todo, web2.0 on your layouts.
