Too many people
Struggle every day
Trying to come to terms
With their drastic decrease in pay.
Lining the pickets
Hundreds of angered ex-workers,
Forced into poverty
By corporate money-grabbing shirkers.
Attempt to try in some way
To ease their solemn pain
Every day enduring battle
In the sunshine and the rain.
They only want their lives back
They don't wish to fight
Or to snarl at the others who smile
Who ignore their hard fought plight.
Nobody wants to endure hunger
Be stressed and to be poor
Just to get aknowledgment
For the cause they are fighting for.
A place they can go home to
For their own family to live
Kids to grow up and be educated at
And to help those who have give.
Arguments sparked by their loss of pay
Struggling to survive each and every day.
Don't just stroll past with the thought
'Im so happy that isn't me'
Be kind and lend a hand to help
Because that could've been you, you see...
