View Full Version : Another Idea
Hello,
I just got up another idea on my head.
Is it hard to make a site like Freewebs, where people could create an account, make their own website, with designs I'll upload on there?
Tell me how, and we'll see :P
Depends on the knowledge of your programming.

Yeah it's pretty simple. Basic system of them signing up, giving them a domain (yoursite.com/user) And letting them edit their index page. Would need to know php.

You'd want your own dedi.
You'd want your own server too be honest.
To manage it all.

If it started to get big, you would need more servers creating more losses.
You can't make millions from adverts you know..

Bog standard possibly?
I agree, it would only be simple as the site could never compare to freewebs.
PHP would be a good starting point and if interest increases, make a better system.
Should I give this idea a chance, or?

You'd need a big server first.

You'd need to know a ss language so you ain't being a lazy *** and getting someone else to do it... though not a big server until it expanded.
