Okay, so I'm in need of a decent driving/racing game. I downloaded the GRID demo, it's OK and it has great graphics. Burnout Paradise demo is very good and the handling is good on that. I also have Formula One Championship Edition which has great graphics and is quite easy to play. However, I have found loads of other driving games, such as Need For Speed, Juiced 2, Gran Turismo etc. What's the best driving game in your opinion and why? Cheers, and rep will be given.

Gran turismo because it is gran turismo.

I like Gran Turismo, but you just bounce off other cars and things whereas the crash graphics in GRiD are alot better. Burnout demo was alright

Hmm, problem is it's meant to be rubbish since it's only prologue. Cheers for the feedback anyway.

Yeah, I don't like that bounce off crash. My mate has GRID and he said it's way better crashes. Cheers.

i like burnout
Yeah, cheers.

Burnout or GT5P
Burnout I think, thank-you.

I don't usually play F1 games but I was bored and the demo was quite easy. I might need to get GRID and Burnout.

Maybe Ridge Racer if you like the series
Is that good? It's pretty cheap nowadays. Cheers.

I'd only try it if you were a fan of the series, nothing special though... wait till the next one if you want.

GT5P got an update yesterday too, added a fully fledged TV service... and GT5P is only £14.99, can't go wrong!

I saw Ridge Racer for PS3 for £15 today and I saw Burnout for £27. Might get them both. My mate put me off GT5 since he said it's basically a simulator. I'd prefer to drive around freely and crash etc.

Ferrari Challenge looks decent

Yeah, got that demo. Completely different to the other driving games I stated. It's easy driving and the graphics are cool. Cheers for the feedback.

Hows about Motorstorm? Dunno if it's any good but my manager thinks it's okay for it's current price of £15.

Wayne
03-08-2008, 04:09 PM
Lol, yeah but rally is a bit boring innit?

Fez
03-08-2008, 04:11 PM
Oh no , really great fun. Once you get past the over-use of realism it's a great ride (pun intended).

£10 from GAME (http://www.game.co.uk/PS3/Racing/%7Er330493/SEGA-Rally/?s=SEGA+Rally)

Wayne
03-08-2008, 04:14 PM
£10 is actually very good. Even cheaper preowned! I enjoy arcade racing games, is this arcade like?

Fez
03-08-2008, 05:00 PM
Yeah, good old fashioned racing fun.

GT5P is really much for either racing enthusiasts or guys who want to play a realistic driving game, only £14.99 and I'm picking it up during this week. Got a GTTV update too, can download & stream Top Gear stuff.

gran turismo the cars are awsomely graphically designed

Wayne

Crashes on GT5 look rubbish. Also some bad reviews for SEGA Rally:
"Submitted by Andrew Downie
by far the worst driving game iv played in years stay clear and save your money"
"Submitted by Matthew Batey
Bad driving game, very unrealistic. Cars are difficult to control and if you crash on a corner its like an invisable barrier, you just crash and it pushes you round the corner. 2/10"
"Submitted by Nicola McCaslin
so rubbish that why you get it in the bundle offer"
"Submitted by Baldeep Aujla
worst driving game eva."

Fez

But I found it fun :(, besides only a tenner, even my cousin's pet dog could afford it.

Wayne
03-08-2008, 05:21 PM
Lmao, I suppose. Ridge Racer is quite annoying what with the drift around every corner.

Fez
03-08-2008, 05:23 PM
I lost faith in Ridge Racer after the 3rd one, I really enjoyed the PS1 series but it's just dragged on for too long now.

Hope they revive the series though

Wayne
03-08-2008, 05:25 PM
Lol yeah. Burnout Paradise is tempting but I really want a customizing game with decent crashes. Might wait until Midnight Club.

Heart Break Kid
03-08-2008, 05:29 PM
looooool go on ebay and buy em all =]

Fez
03-08-2008, 05:29 PM
Yeah, that looks amazing. But Burnout is getting quite a lot of updates in the future, involving planes and new modes and cars etc, for free.

Wayne
03-08-2008, 05:30 PM
Wow, that's worth it lol. Lmao I don't want them all HBK or I'll end up only playing 1 of them.

Fez
03-08-2008, 05:32 PM
For now I'd say either choose from

- Sega Rally
or
- GT5P

And just wait for all the updates for Burnout to come out, then it'll be probably Platinum and cheaaaper

Heart Break Kid
03-08-2008, 05:32 PM
lol yeah but when you complete it :) you can go str8 onto another 1 :)

Wayne
03-08-2008, 05:35 PM
Lmao, I'm not one for completing racing games. I just go around driving and looking at scenery.

Heart Break Kid
03-08-2008, 05:36 PM

Fez
03-08-2008, 05:36 PM

Wayne
03-08-2008, 05:41 PM
Lmao HBK I suppose. :P I have GTAIV. Completed it and I enjoyed the driving on that. ;P
