Right, so i made like a litle anymous account (i hope) because i'm quite embarrassed about this...
So i've had genetic migraine all my life, my dad has it and so does my grandpa, but since a few years now, I've been getting these too:
- Sweating alot/really fast
- losing my balance sometimes
- Extremely thursty, i mean i just cant stop drinking, water/coke w.e i cant get my thurst away
- tired , been really tired lately, like yawning all day etc
- Short breath, i cant really take deep breaths, i'm like used to taking really short ones
- Dizzy-ness
- My hands start shaking
- Tinteling feeling in my fingers & foots
- Daily headaches (I thought the migraine at first but perhaps..)
- Heart-pain (like pain spikes (not continuesly, but spikes) near my heart/chest)
- no hunger.. (I'm never really hungry anymore, just thursty)
Like those things, not all at once but like now and then i get them.. and I never really botherd about them but like I told this to some friends now & they said I -might- have diabetes.. could that be a posibility ?
I admit, I drink alot of coke & sodas etc, & i mean ALOT, but even if I'd drink water, i just keep having this thurst..
What do you people think ?
I'm 17 years old, though I'm turning 18 this month

It sounds like you're dying to me with that list of illnesses, you should seek medical advice ASAP and I would advise you not to fall asleep until you do as you may never wake up.

i think the first thing you need to do is seek medical advice, with your mum or somebody..
and not worry to much untill you find out what it really is..
also, maybe thiinking about it is causing more sympons, like anxiety attacks, which could be some of the things linked to the list.
just be strong, and try not to think to much, untill the pointt comes. ;[

Let me give you some advice which you will take for your whole life.
Do not waste your time asking people who have no idea in the field of medicine and who are in no position to diagnose you, GO TO A DOCTOR ASAP!
I also suffer from migraines and I've had loads of different tablets etc but nothing really seems to be working, I also get a few of these symptoms although most are quite rare.
well before reading bottom part of your post i thought diabetes straight away
just go to doctors, who will refer you to hospital to have various blood tests
it can be very dangerous if you have diabetes and are not having the right injections each day to help keep the levels of insulin stable

As others have said, the symptoms you listed scream out diabetes. If you do nothing about it, you could get very ill, so I strongly advise you to see a doctor asap. You should talk to your parents, but if you're too scared, talk to a close friend, and ask them to go with you to see a doctor. They'll give you a blood test, and if it is diabetes, they'll give you medication, but the worst part is you'll have to control your diet, and you won't be able to eat foods with a high sugar content. Anyway, good luck!

heh, i spot a pun.
Migraines aren't fun, my friend gets them and he misses like 2 days of school a week because of them

Ah my specialty - Migraines.
I suffer from these too and get very thirsty and dizzy, but i dont have the other effects straight away. I went to the doctors and they referred me to the hospital for a blood test, and said it was becuase i was underweight. So maybe that could be it? My migraines are genetic too, and i have been givven a perscription for them. Every night before i go to bed i take a tiny tiny tablet and it really does help, i only get about 1 a week now :)

Please don't panic when i say this, but you're showing alot of the signs of Diabetes..
My advice is go see your GP asap because if you leave it untreated it can get quite bad.
..and there's nothing to be embarrassed about, your GP will have seen alot more than what you have and trust me, nothing will shock them.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Fantastic, very happy for ya :)
x
Well heres what I have in common with you.
- Sweating alot/really fast
- losing my balance sometimes (I dont fall over, just little tilt)
- Extremely thursty, i mean i just cant stop drinking, water/coke w.e i cant get my thurst away
- Short breath (Sorta, i can take deepbreathes)
- Dizzy-ness (Every so often, maybe headrush for me)
- My hands start shaking (Thats when I tell myself I have something bad I worry. I fix this by taking a drink and sitting cosily watching something I like)
- Heart-pain (Yeh, got these. These are nothing to worry about)
I think that if you are worried check the doctor. But I have daily checkups. Full ones I am clear of everything and I have nearly all those symptoms. So to clear you mind and keep you happy. I think your 100% fine. If your worried yeh check the doctor.
Also, I eat alot of sweeties, but balance it with fruit ect..
Any strange lumps or bumps?
puberty releases alot of homrones, i suffer from loosing balance alot and dizziness. And tbh, i agree with post #2 im probably pregnant (im a lad, dw) And...
I dont know what to say
Doctors, dont be afraid of what they'll say because they're to help you and cancer's the biggest killer, but so was chickenpox 50 years ago? so what does taht tell us about our future? (Cancers gonna be cured, for the nooobs)
Theres a cure for evreything, it could be just a big bug youve got for a couple of years
Hope youget better soon =] lay off the soda.
