Howdy,

Not my site.. but I thought I would share it with all the developers here that use regular expressions.. or have a tough time using them.

I'm not very good at them either, but this site has really helped me understand them, as well as point me in the right direction most of the time, as well as being easy to use.

It generates the code for you, in your language, what to use after you match it.

Here is an example:

You have no idea what that does do you... stop spamming to get your post count up.

I understand the basics of regular expressions in php but this site confuses me..?

Edit: I think I understand it now after playing around with it.
Edit 2: Wow this is great, thank you.

First of all it's not spam, I commented on the link and it's nice.
Second of all, I do understand it but I probably will never use it.
I may use it for PHP, sometime that's all.

Sometimes it doesn't provide you with what you want (word, letter, etc) so when it gives you the code, you can replace the $rel with (*.?)

Looks useful.

You talking to yourself?

If I did know anything todo with regular expressions then I'm sure this would come in handy. I'll have a read up as I think ive used them just without knowing the name.

Hmm I suppose it would be useful for people that like being fed code as opposed to just experimenting until later on.

Not necessarily. It's for people who don't fully understand regex, and need a boost.

I learned just from using this.
