URGENT HELP - NEED REALLY BADLY

First of all I noticed I program has just appeared called, Antivirus XP 2008, I didn't know what it was or how it got there, I went to click on control pannel, nothing happened I minimized IE and the wallpaper had changed to:

Warning Spyware detected on your computer.
Install an anti-virus or spyware remover to clean you're computer.

I can't open any other programs, what should I do.

Go to your desktop and press alt+f4 ;).

Can you not run a virus scan at all? I would also say safe mode, if you don't know how it's F2 when you're booting up to enter start up mode.
If all else fails, the dreaded reformat may be an option for you..?

A new version of Mcafee.

Edit: The screen went blue saying it had a problem and just went, I'm shutting it down.
