Nice theory you have there. I guess since Boro beat Arsenal, we're a bigger club than them.

Sunderland have the most fans. We have an excellent stadium and higher attendance than Chelsea. Even though 'Boro maybe a bigger club Sunderland have the best fans. ;)

Actually, Sunderland don't have the best fans. When they got to the Premier League their gates suddenly went up by 20-30 thousand.

Actually, Sunderland don't have the best fans. When they got to the Premier League their gates suddenly went up by 20-30 thousand.

When Barnsley got into the semis of the FA Cup they could suddenly fill their half of Wembley. So what? Sunderland are not a consistant mid-table side like Boro. Boro fans can sleep safe at night in the knowledge that Boro will avoid the drop by a fair margin but not get anywhere near the top 4 either. Whereas Sunderland always seem to have that risk of going down. And if we can draw in that huge crowds even though we aren't as certain to survive in the premier like Boro, then I call that better fans.

"You also have a bigger population."

So that means we're not the bigger club? :S

No it means you have more fans and higher attendences..

How would you define a bigger club then? A club that wins trophies? As theres not much between us in that case. ;)
