I need a new bike, and I want a good one, but don't want to spend over £100 really. :(

If you can find a better one, that'll be great. But is this one any good?

+Rep to help! :P

Nope.
Its rubbish, its a steel frame so its heavy as, then its made worse by it being a dual suspension.
It has rubbish gears and brakes. Your probs gonna have problems with it straight away.
Id spend atleast £200 on a bike to get a good one tbh, it will last you well aswell.
Also dont goto a shop that sells car parts aswell as bikes.
Goto a bike shop, u will get better after sales service because all they do is bikes. Same with the internet if there is a problem with it you need to pay postage to send it back which will cost you about £10-20.

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_21 7790_langId_-1_categoryId_106176 is a good bike

I've had no problems with mine, but its double your budget so you may not want to go that far

Please don't post here telling me to pay over £100. I'm only paying that, or less. I don't have the money! :(

These are the things I need doing for rep..

Does this shockwave have an adjustable seat? (It looks a bit high..)
Is this bike any good?
If you can find me another bike, thats good, for under £100, that'll be great! :)

Thanks! :8

agreed with corporal tbh. shockwaves are crap anyway. halfords isn't really a good place to buy bikes anyway from my experience. try www.rutlandcycling.com (http://www.rutlandcycling.com)

actually come to think of it they're not very cheap lol. but yeah.
