BT are taking the ****

Over the last 2 weeks my internet connections been utterly crap! First it went down for almost 3 days, when it came back online the speeds were awfull and its been the same ever since. I have BT option 3 and I know that I can get upto about 7.5mb speeds. Every night my speed drops to around 1mb, the other night it was 0.5mb and last night it was so slow that speedtest.net could even record my speed.

Iv contacted BT and they say they cant do anything everythings fine and they wont take some money off my Bill for this crap service. What should I do?

I was thinking about telling them if they dont do something im canceling the contract early, technicly I can do that legally without having to pay the rest of the contract length because they aren't giving me the service as described and the fact webpages sometimes don't load means there not selling me something that fullfills its purpose

Not alot you can do but complain, or change your ISP.

I know what you mean about BT though, our router broke so we emailed customer services and were promised one within 2 working days.

A month later it hadn't arrived so I complained again and they said it was down to a 'technical' fault.

Although they did say the router would arrive within the next two working days of the email, which it did.

BT have been fine with me, until I moved house. It took over a week to get the Broadband working, and I also had crap speeds, however back to around 4MB now.

Their Indian/English network does NOT work!

Maybe your exchange are having some problems? Thats what ahppened with my exchange, I couldnt do hardly anything until they sorted it then the speeds were nice and high again.

Do not get me started on BT. Our service was fine with BT until we moved into this house, I moved here at the start of april btw, we only got connected to the a phone line literally a few days ago. This was after being told they would be round to connect us 9 times! Each time they would fail to turn up and never ring to say they wern't coming. If I had the choice I would never use BT ever again.

It only seems to be at its worst at night. I can understand if my speeds drop slightly at night, but at 2AM when im getting 1MB broadband surely something must be wrong because it shouldnt be dropping that much.

I'm with Be* Broadband, get 13.5MB on ADSL+2 :D

My BT kept going down a few days ago, it keeps dropping out. Internet speeds fine, just keeps dying on us.
