overplayed..

anyone think there overplaying songs way to much now?
i know radio's are meant to play the songs alot but;

All Summer Long
Shutup and let me go
Dance Wiv Me
I Kissed a Girl

are overplayed to the point where i know HATE the song...

pffft, music radio stations havent been relevant for about 20 years now. if you were to learn everything about modern music through today's pop radio stations, you'd think that there are only a few dozen songs made a year. the way radio stations are ran now is that everything has to be accessible to everyone listening, so that rules out so much music that it makes a rotation of the same songs over and over and over again.

not sure if its like that in the u.k., but its without a doubt that way in the u.s. radio stations are a pathetic medium for music, unless they're local.

surely if the song is doing well in the charts then it's bound to be played. and if the song is in the charts there is bound to be a lot of requests for it meaning it gets played a lot more.

don't like it? listen to your own music or "underground" stations.

God so many radio stations overplay songs. I used to listen to radio 1 then i stopped because it was really repetitive. I listened to kerrang radio for about a year but now its just the same as all other radio stations. They pick like 20 songs a month and just play them over and over and over again. Thank god for Ipods!
