Man utd has just defended their communtiy shield against Portsmouth .

It finshed 0-0 but United won on pens.

3 players missed for Pompey but United struck all of theirs.

Was a terrbile game though.

only another chance to get some match fitness back. like some of the united players said though still nice to win a trophy. terrible penalties from pompey none of their players looked confident when stepping up.

i heard the commentator say that both teams had only been allocated 27,000 each which from both sets of fans were all sold.

Sot hats 27,000 both teams so thats 53,000 and the commentator said thats there was around 80,000 there

But there's loads of empty seats in the Portsmouth end. Normally there is a neutral bit in the middle.

They were awful though. They didnt get balls into the box for Defoe or Crouch.

Yea i didnt watch it but by the sounds of things didnt miss a lot. I hate it when some team win on Pens. But i know it obviously has to end. Meh, we will see what next season brings, good luck to all teams :)
