I was looking at Sulake's website to see if they had anything about Coke Music on it, witch it didn't. I found a page called "Press Room" so I clicked it. You can find this at www.sulake.com and click on "Press Room" at the left of the page. Anyway I clicked on a story/news link called " Strong Growth in Sulake's Revenues and Profit - Habbo Hotel online game will launch in the US in September" it was posted 06.09.2004 so its pretty old. I was reading throught it and I saw in 2004 Sulake expected to make EUR 15 million! Revenues for 2003 were EUR 4.9 and in 2002 they made aprox EUR 2.3 million. Thats allot of $$$! I converted it to US dollars.
2004 - $18,128,969.36 USD
2003 - $5,922,129.99 USD
2002 - $2,779,775.30 USD
It just goes to show how much money people spend on Habbo Hotel yearly. Sulake employs 120 people and states that Finland, Sweden, Norway, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Japan and Canada. The total number of Habbo characters is already more than 17 million! Check out www.sulake.com to see more info. Its quite interesting :)

Isn't it! They should donate that money to somthing.. They only have 120 people employed, and they probably dont get payed much.. I realize the article is a bit old but I thought it was a bit interesting..

:) I know. It just shows how a internet gaming site could make soo much money from kids & teenagers. As Steven™ said "Most of that is our money" hes right! Where else would they be getting it from?

I'm going to let you in on a secret.. Half of the Sulake employee's are drug smugglers. They do illegal drug trades in southern parts of Africa. Hope that explains their wealth.

They sold APPROX. 1812896.936 US CREDITS (UK COST MORE RIGHT?) - THAT IS A HELL OF ALOTOF CALLING!

They are a buisness.. They aint going to give money away when they make profit. Staff do get payed a fair bit I expect, depends what you are.

I'd love to meet who ever started Habbo, somebody said it was called like Habbo Lemon? Is that true?
I thought that it was Daisy who founded Habbo Hotel :| Anyway i think that the employees get payed alot more than we think because theyve obviously got to make a living and someone said tht they got paid quite a bit more than we thought.

It was some guy starting with an A along with Kyprov, they made a snowball and disco game before habbo, then they made Hotel Goldfish for Finland which was converted into Habbo Hotel, They made Finland, then aapo wanted to make a UK version and Daisy co-founded it, Case Closed.

If you think about it, their keeping all
their profits. They should spent a few
hundred thousand updating their security
system and also updating a few other stuff.

pfft. habbo is a big money making scam. just think. we pay money that we earn for a bunch of stupid pixels. the only money I have spent on habbo is for HC and I spent about £20 on furni when i was an uber-n00b. the rest I have got from donations and/or people leaving and leaving me their furni. habbo is a money-making scam. 10p for a 'bobba'-ing pixel stool? wow.

God, stop having a go at them for "stealing your money," Do you not realise how everyone else does this too? Ps2, when it was originally released, cost around £250, now it is worth around £170, Sony are obviously not loosing any money now, so in the early days of it's release, for every console sold, £80 of profit was made!! That is a heck of a lot, and I know that sony is worth billions. Why exactly should Sulake share his money? Doesn't Bill Gates get like £10,000 every few minutes or something? I know he does give alot to charities but he's still worth Billions. Naughty dog, also must be very rich, they created Crash Bandicoot with just their team of 10 people, along with Spyro and Lara croft, Crash is now one of the most recognisable gaming characters of the Psone, I can tell you that they also, would have made millions from this by ripping us off.

A Sony Playstation has value, the stuff on Habbo is just pixels. Sony cant take the Play Station away from you because you payed for it but if Habbo Hotel closed what are we left with? Nothing..
