Unable To Connect To Host

When I try to invite my cousin into a game or he invites me it says this, it was working fine yesterday and we both have 3/4 bar connections, we can connect to other people and we live like 5-6 blocks away. Why

Your nat type on your router may not be set to open. It gave me that a lot when I tried to join peoples games on Halo. Like certain people.

It was working yesterday for ages, how do I fix it maybe it's just my internet provider having difficulty.

Unplug router then plug it back in again. If it dont work tell your cousin to do it.
