Habbo 2 to soon be a reality?
Was talking to Rino .. a techie i think, from Finland, n when i asked him bout Habbo2, he said "No comment :)"
He also said though
"I can say though that something BIG is going to happen.."
but i wasn't fast enough to printscreen cuz i hadn't pasted the picture below yet xD
But the others in the room will vouch for that info :)
[btw, sorry about the dodgy image. I really can't work Imageshack.. i never know which link to use, and what to do with it LOL]

Oh my God.

It's not going to be called Habbo 2 it's just going to be a massive update to enhance the social-networking side of things for Habbo which is what they want to achieve, or desktop application like IMVU.

Either one of those.

I think habbo would be spoilt if it went 3D tbh, the whole point of it is to be simple and pixelated.

Thats the virtual magic kingdom aint it. I went on that once and i fort it looked too generic (like every other 3D online game) Habbo stands out because it is Pixelated, it would be ruined if this happened. I don't think they would do it anyway cos everything would need to be redesigned eg all furni, all looks, rooms, website, logo. Just too much work and money for them to do it.

Habbo will try this and realise it will fail, I rememer seeing the pictures and videos from Simmzy and it looked the same as IMVU, it would spoil it! V1 of Habbo was better!

If they give a choice between them i'm fine with that tbh, if they do that they may concentrate all the updates on the 3D Habbo which will leave the normal 2D Habbo how it is which is kinda a good thing

Yeah I agree, im quite happy with Habbo atm and wouldnt mind VERY small updates and just let them concentrate on 3D

I quite like the 3D Habbo tbh..
but i like the idea of being able to choose between 2D and 3D. I'd have fun switching between the two :)

The isometric style is what makes habbo... well HABBO.

If they were to change it, it would be just like any other... whatever you call them. Basically, it wouldn't be unique anymore.

If habbo2 was advertised what tfha2(the watermark on the image that person posted) was around (thats ages ago) then surely they would have released it by now

It was made on a server for something and I can't remember what but it will NEVER change from isometic (at least for the future i.e 10 years) and that's backed up by what is said in that interview with Phil Guest on MSN.

If I recall, Laurensh1 posted on HabboxForum that the original Moodlight concept was made by Finland back in 2004. I don't know where he posted it, but he did. I hope to god that this doesn't happen otherwise Habbo really will sink. It's the retro feel which gives Habbo its appeal.

Putting it in 3D would make it look like one person amongst a crowd of lookalikes.

whats the point in them giving a choice when everybody knows we will all use the Classic habbo version.
If they do do this, it will be such a waste of an update.

Do people not realise that Habbo have bothered to create 20+ different releases. Why would they have bothered if there is a 3D one coming out that is completely different, and all these features will be changed?

You do know that video was created by some 3D Genius on the old tfh2 :S It has nothing to do with Habbo.

Habbo will have to do it to catch up with the latest graphics. Habbo's graphic engine is 7/8 years old, world of warcraft's is 4 and runescapes is under a few months. so they will have to heep up to keep in compertition.
