No, the text does. The STYLE of it has changed, the old one was very hard to read.

Last time I registered an account it was like that, and that was around the time Habbo Guides were introduced... So it isn't that new.

And no, it wasn't the maintenance - Why would the client be taken down if the site was being took down? And as I said before, it was done quite a while back.

They changed it to the "OLD" one temporairly a few days ago to combat auto bot making programs, theyve obviously changed it back now

That's incorrect if im working out all these 'old's'
lol

There wsa the one before the unreadable one, which used normal letters, thats why it was so easy to get around.
Then their was the impossible to read one, which was barely readable on it's own.
And now there's the one we have now, with visible letters, but they are distorted so they can't be read by a machine.

Well I dont know how those programs work, but im sure the guy who made them was smart enough to personally make accounts and then assign bots to them to log in?

they work by identifing what the characters on the CAPCHA seqeunce look like, then they narrow the image down, step by step, untill the image matches close enough to one number to safely say that IS the number on screen.

Why are the capthca's so hard to read... whats the reason to this????

Cause like, if the numbers and letters are really like 'simple' then you can design a program to split the letters and numbers up, then match said letter/number with a preset image of the letter/number which looks most like the one from the CAPTCHA sequence to make ANOTHER program, to make accounts automatically, for bots. ;)
