I'm looking for a decent media player for use with videos, I'm getting desperate here.

VLC: Bad on dual-screen setups
MPC: "File not found" unless I do File > Open (which I don't want to do)
SMPlayer: Requires File > Open if the file name contains a space.
WMP: Terrible, terrible interface
iTunes: Bloated, crazy system resource use
Quicktime: Doesn't support a lot of what I use
RealPlayer: Haha Oh wow, like I actually need to post why it's crap

Requirements: Low system resource use (by low I mean I don't want it to slow me down doing other stuff, general browsing etc.), supports MPEG Layer 4, Matroska, DivX, XviD, must be very customisable.

Can't really help because I use the ones you said above. But I haven't had any problems with Quicktime or VLC.
