I think that if everyone started paying thrones and Supers for things like Purple Paras and Hammocks. The rare value specialists will see that... and post up the dramatic increase in some of those things. The problem is... that no one has the guts to start paying thrones for rubbish rares because it probably wouldnt work. It was just an idea I had kinda random but W.e.

Well when you look at it like this, there are thousands upon thousands of normal catalogue rares in the hotel such as purple paras. They were initally sold for 25 credits so these rares never become super rares as there were many sold when they were released. Super rares values are much higher because most people know that they are not available everywhere and there is also usually very few of them in the hotel. This is what drives the price up, having something that most people dont have.

Your theory is right for a part.
Values will go up if people will pay more for them, BUT it's impossible to become a super rare. The super rares on our page are rares that have never been released in the catalogue, exept for the holoboy, samovar and throne, but they were given out as a pressent so thousands of people got them. :) Also the HC membership pressents are normal rares, because they are for sale in some way.
Rares can only become worth alot when people offer much for them, but like you said, nobody will offer that much.

But if you look at the petal, it was worth 8-9cs when it wasn't released, it dropped till 1.5cs once and look at it now, it's climbing it's way back and is worth 3.0cs now. :)
