Jade Goody is reportedly joining an Indian Big Brother house to make amends for last year's alleged race scandal and to make a pretty penny in the process.
The reality TV star and perfume-range millionaire is due to fly to Mumbai to prepare for the show's weekend launch and is believed to be pocketing £100,000 for the appearance.
The show, called Bigg Boss, is being hosted by Shilpa Shetty, whose treatment on last year's Celebrity Big Brother attracted more than 30,000 complaints from the public, caused a minor diplomatic incident and prompted the show's key sponsor to pull out .
Shetty was referred to by Goody as "Shilpa Poppadom", but the Bollywood superstar later said she did not believe the attacks on her were racially motivated.
Nevertheless, images of people in India burning effigies of the former dentist's assistant in the street were streamed across major news networks and Goody is keen to dispel her poor reputation on the sub-continent.
Among this year's other house mates are dancer Rakhi Sawant, actor Amit Sadh and cricketer Salil Ankola.
