Introducing the host quote!

Hello, thehostquote is a brand new website dedicated to the hosting market. Thehostquote offers news, reviews and hopefully a service you cannot refuse ;) We also offer the ability for hosts to submit their company PLUS a coupon and a description of your company which will be displayed to all the users. (this will have to be verified by an admin before anything!)

There will also be a little newsletter option which users can sign up to and get an email containing any new features to thehostquote or deals we believe only the newsletter registrants should receive!

On top of this I'll add some scripts which will be helpful to hosts (maybe some big ones!)

I have been building from scratch for around 2 days now and it is nearly all complete! If you have any ideas/features you'd like to see on the site post them below, I'll use this as a development thread!

(I know you can all view the website but for some reason I cannot, thus meaning I had to build the site on a different web server)

What do you guys think?

i dont realy get whats unique about it. Mybe if u did what gocompare do or some other companies and have it so it finds the BEST quote for what youre looking for.

so a form that you input things you are looking for... 10GB bandwidth, 40GB storage etc. and stuff it woulkd be better. i dont know if this is being done

Get a price comparison script and use it to compare hosting prices.

so a form that you input things you are looking for... 10GB bandwidth, 40GB storage etc. and stuff it woulkd be better. i dont know if this is being doneThis won't exactly be "unique" so to speak but there is not many sites out there like this, people have mentioned a few of the big ones, gocompare etc. No way will I be able to achieve this on my own so overtime I'll be looking to bring in future developers :) Oh and also the ability to look for hosting will be brought in, users can post their specs etc :)

I may take a look at a script like this but I'd want to build it all from scratch so it keeps the feature locked to the host quote. 2 days solid* :P I've been working for almost 10 hours + a day on the site, it sounds sad but it's true :P The design was the easy part, nothing too techie about it but the nav I think! System was easy to code as I've been coming up with blog/news/login scripts for a while so they just needed some code tweaked. Got a few more features left to do and I'm set :)
