Well I used to be really scared of death and of family dying when I was younger.
I'd always think about a family member dying and get freaked out about when I might die. ^_^
And I still do sometimes =/

It's a completly normal thing to be scared by death, people can get severly depressed over it, which is pointless because then they're missing out on life.

Death is a scary thought, nobody knows what is after it, if anything... You just have to accept it and live life while you have it, no point being scared or upset of something because it's not going to stop it from happening...

Personaly, I think there is something after we die. Even though it seems completly ilogical, so do alot of things, like the creation of the universe... It's meant to have came from a big bang then everything suddenly apeared from nothing, yeah sure whatever...

1. i used to have panic attacks and you need to get it sorted becuase they get more frequent and more vigerous, it might be something personal or mental and physical.

2. i dont worry about this becuase i'm a christian and i know where i am going and what i belive in, maybe you should look down this route? In the Bible.

now i sound like a bible basher ;l

I'm really scared of it too - last summer I randomly got really depressed and worried about it (actually, it was after I was reading a thread on here) but since, I've just told myself that I'm young and healthy, and just not think about it more when I'm old and grey. Occasionally I have a little think about it, and scare myself, but not on such a severe level as I used to.

Its not uncommon but like others have said you should go see a Doctor of some kind about it or perhaps it'll help just getting off your chest have you spoken to a family member about it?

But yeah it is quite scary to think as soon as you've been born you effectively start dying of old age.

You sould never be afraid of death
we all die, but i think its health to be afraid of death but taking panic attacks is not right

i get like that sometimes.

its not the actual thought of dieng, i dont mind that. the amount of crazzy stunts i do, i get used to thinking i may die.
its just the whats after it. heaven, hell, new life, or jsut blackness. it jsut confuses me and freaks me out!
so your not alone.
i think the best thing t do is just have a good time, try not to worry about it or think about it, and you'll be ok

=]
( now i feel like some realy odl amture 40 year old guy, not a 14 year old.)

The problem is, we keep wondering what will happen to us from our point of view. When you're dead, your point of view is no more. Only other people's point of view. The world doesn't stop when we die, it carries on, and nothing needs to happen to us, since we are not fundamental to the existence of the universe.

Guess that doesn't help though... just go and get brainwashed by christians so you're deluded in to thinking there's an after life in heaven or one of those made up places. It works for most people. And probably improves your happiness. Whether it improves Sundays is another question though.

Ive never been scared of death, Im a Catholic and I learn things about life after death so im not worried, but as LukeyBaby, said, if you dont nip this mental fear of death now, its just going to get worse, I suggest telling a parent or doctor.

I dunno, it's not that bad unless you believe in hell really, otherwise it's just non-existence or some other afterlife. Most old people seem indifferent to it anyway, so I figure you stop caring with age.

I'd say it's a little odd, but then again i'm abit sadistic and suicidal so maybe you shouldn't really listen to me >_> I can't wait to die

I'm not scared of death, I'm scared of my family dying like my mum and how I would cope with not seeing her ever again.. Scary thought when you think about it.

I'm curious about death so I'm looking forward to dying when I'm old loll

I used to get this too, but i sorta worked it out in my head, When we die, we wont need to worry what happens to us, as im a catholic and i belive in heaven, i also used to think about what happens if were trapped in somone elses body, but thats highly unlikley as you should be able to see signs of that. When you die you shouldent really need to worry, even if you do dissapear its not your worry and your mind wont exsist, so just basicly enjoy life and move on ;;]

the LHC?
Nothing will happen.

As for the thoughts of death.. when I was younger I used to cry about it and stuff because I'd be so scared.
Now I don't really worry about it. I'm just more worried about like my mom dying or something (shes a single parent.. so basically all I've got) or one of my siblings.

I just figure when it's meant to happen then it'll happen. No one knows what happens after you die so.. yeah.

Not scared of death, you die and that's it, nothingness. Or maybe heaven if it exists.

My friend you are not the only one. i wonder about my fate almost weekly and once i cried myself to sleep because i was that scared tbh.the only way to really stop it is to not think about it in till the time comes or unless you know your dying. Deal with it when the time comes. for the time being live your life to the full!

It's quite a common fear these days to be honest.

I used to be really nervous about it but then i watched this tv programme about this lad who had a phobia of death and it just occured to me that it'll happen when it's supposed to happen and i've got no chance in hell of trying to stop it. It's going to happen to all of us at one time or another. The only thing that still makes me uncomfortable is thinking about what happens afterwards.. haha. I think everything just stopped and you cease to exist.. Your brain isn't working so you can't dream and i don't believe in heaven or hell.

Try not to think too much about it. Ghosts do exist (I've seen one) so there must be a life after death for some people right?
