I bought one i put it in and it said: 9+Gb left.
And the rest is????
It was fully wiped too!
Like what?

I got it from ebay, yes.
But it was fully clean.

Just go to where you can delete stuff than make sure everything is deleted

i dont think the person completely deleted everything.
Just go to memory setting or something, The hard drive and you can delete everything on their they had. Check incase they bought any gamerpics or themes. They might be worth keeping.

It's 13GB I believe, the other 7GB is space for the Xbox 360 updates and game-saves usually, the 7GB might not all be being used but it's reserved, leaving you usually with 13GB for yourself. Try a factory reset or formatting the hard-disk drive.
All HDDs have back up space, for instance, a PC's 120gb HDD is usually around 112gb (same as the xbox elite).
my 160 gb for my laptop is more like 148gb although i have deleted the recovery stuff which is quite annoying

Remember some space is kept aside for music, but I believe there is an option to format the disk - If you do that, all content will be wiped from the HDD and it will be in the same state as it was when new.
