Ok, So I've updated my Adope software today and I reloaded my laptop and then this appeared my desktop:

I thought it looked legit so I opened it and had a read of what it was, It siad it was free because I updated Adope.
Put everytime I begin my scan it freezes up my laptop and I have to shut it down.

Is it safe?
Btw, +rep to anyone who will give me a fast, free virus scan that can work fast (Under 2 hours atleast) :)

Thanks.
Andrew

You can only scan as fast as your disc read speed and CPU will allow but avast! is pretty good. And while that program is safe, Norton is **** so get rid of it.

As far as i know it is a legit thing to come with Adobe stuff, but you probably should have unticked the box.

You did download Adobe didn't you? If you downloaded 'Adope' there's a chance it's a virus.

Avast!
Avira Anti-Vir
AVG

There's three - All very good :)
The time of the scan is dependent on how much data you have stored on your computer!
